Immigrant Health Insurance: How I Help Russian-Speaking Families Navigate the U.S. System
For many Russian-speaking immigrants, navigating the U.S. healthcare system is confusing, frustrating, and overwhelming.
I’ve spent the last 20 years earning trust in this community—by answering calls, speaking your language, and walking you through a system that’s nothing like what you knew before.

In this video, you’ll hear from longtime clients like Sega, Andre, and others who have been with me for years. Their stories explain why people continue to come back—and refer their friends and family.
Sega’s Story — From New Immigrant to Business Owner
Sega came to the U.S. from Lithuania over ten years ago. She was a single mother with a young son on the autism spectrum—and no idea how to navigate American healthcare.
She was referred to me by a friend, and we’ve worked together ever since.
“He always picks up the phone. I don’t worry about calling. He makes it easy.” — Sega
Today, she runs a cleaning business, and her son is training as a coder. She told me she’s referred “at least 10 people” to me over the years—because she knows I’ll take care of them the same way I took care of her.
Andre’s Journey — From Construction to Cars, With Coverage Along the Way
Andre is originally from Ukraine. He started out in construction and now works at a car dealership.
“I don’t like calling government people. With Robert, I just call and he takes care of it.” — Andre
He says I’m direct, clear, and don’t waste time. At one point, I advised him to keep his current plan—even though switching would’ve earned me a higher commission. That stuck with him, and it’s why we still work together today.
Irena and the Georgian Client — Why Language Still Matters
One of my longtime clients, Irena, referred a woman from Georgia who didn’t speak any English. She was completely overwhelmed—paperwork, government letters, calls she didn’t understand.
But once I spoke to her in Russian, everything changed.
“She only felt safe once she heard someone speak Russian.”
It’s not just about the language—it’s about feeling understood. That’s something I take seriously in every conversation. It’s one of the biggest reasons people continue to refer their friends and family to me.
I also help clients with additional needs like Dental and Vision Insurance, since many plans don’t include those by default.
Helping People, Not Selling Plans
I don’t operate like a call center or a quote engine. I don’t try to push plans. I walk people through the options, and sometimes I’ll even tell them to stay with what they already have—because it’s the right move.
“It’s like a snowball. You help one person, and they send two more.”

That’s how I’ve built my business. I don’t advertise. I’ve grown through referrals—especially from Russian-speaking families in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
My Advice to New Immigrants
“If you’re new here, don’t just Google it—find someone you trust.”
A lot of people assume the U.S. system works the same as it did back home. It doesn’t. The rules around coverage, networks, deductibles, and eligibility are completely different.
I help clients understand what they’re actually signing up for—and what to avoid.
